ABSTRACT

While technology factors are the main driver of the booming real estate APP platforms with important implications for user behavior pattern during and post-pandemic contexts, there is a lack of adequate research. In response, this study explores the user behavior pattern of real estate APP platforms to promote user mental health by taking the real estate APP platforms users as the participants based on theory of technology readiness and acceptance model. Data collected from offline surveys are analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results reveal the technology readiness index positively affects individuals' perceived usefulness and satisfaction, ultimately positively affects individuals' continuance intention with real estate APP platforms;satisfaction with real estate APP platforms mediated the relationship between technology readiness index, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and individuals' continuance intention with real estate APP platforms. However, the group comparison finds no significant difference in user behavior patterns by gender. The contribution of this study is to reveal the influence mechanisms of digital technology on users' behavioral patterns toward real estate APP platforms, which can help guide the sustainable development of real estate APP platforms and promote user mental health and wellbeing in the post-COVID era.

ABSTRACT

This study examines the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in remote work practice during the COVID-19 pandemic by integrating task-technology fit theory and the post-acceptance model of IS continuance into a research framework. In addition, it operationalizes the technological characteristics of TTF (task-technology fit) with the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the diffusion of innovation (DOI) theory. The methodology to test the research model takes support from the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method using a sample of 320 employees. The results show that TAM significantly explains TTF. Furthermore, there is a positive impact of ICT use on individual and organizational performance. User satisfaction has the most significant effect on individual performance, organizational performance, and IS continuance intention. The authors provide some managerial implications for addressing the challenges of remote work related to ICT disruptions for the post-COVID-19 period.

ABSTRACT

PurposeThis study aims to examine the factors influencing user satisfaction with unified payment interface (UPI)-based payment systems during the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The study also aimed to examine whether the user satisfaction with UPI-based payment systems during the COVID-19 pandemic will transform into their continuance intention post-COVID-19 pandemic.Design/methodology/approachThe study was performed in three phases, i.e. pre-testing (for developing questionnaire), pilot study (using exploratory factor analysis to ensure unidimensionality) and the main study. The main study was based on the feedback from a sample of 369 internet users who first used the UPI-based payment system during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data generated were analysed using the structural equation modelling approach.FindingsThe study findings suggest that the users who are satisfied with UPI-based transactions during the COVID-19 pandemic are likely to continue their use of this payment mode in future. Factors such as post-adoption perceived value, perceived usefulness and post-adoption perceived risk were observed to be key constructs in explaining user satisfaction and continued intention for UPI-based payment systems.Originality/valueThe study is one of the pioneering studies, in the sense that it investigated the continuance intention of UPI-based payment systems, which, surprisingly, did not gain much attention from past researchers.

ABSTRACT

Sharing economy-based services are more prevalent in contemporary society, especially after the covid-19 pandemic. However, from the user's perspective, it is still unclear what factors define the success of sharing economy-based apps. To address this issue, we conducted a study using an integrated theoretical framework that incorporated cognitive load theory, social network theory, and theory of planned behavior. 448 samples were collected from three tourist destinations in India to test the model. The results showed that mobile app user interface, interaction, and social networking would positively impact user satisfaction with sharing economy-based apps. User satisfaction also leads to recommendation and continuance intention. The study findings have several implications and recommendations for future studies on sharing economy apps. © 2023 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a new method to quantify the potential user time savings if the urban bus is given preferential treatment, changing from mixed traffic to an exclusive bus lane, using a big data approach. The main advantage of the proposal is the use of the high amount of information that is automatically collected by sensors and management systems in many different situations with a high degree of spatial and temporal detail. These data allow ready adjustment of calculations to the specific reality measured in each case. In this way, we propose a novel methodology of general application to estimate the potential passenger savings instead of using simulation or analytical methods already present in the literature. For that purpose, in the first place, a travel time prediction model per vehicle trip has been developed. It has been calibrated and validated with a historical series of observations in real-world situations. This model is based on multiple linear regression. The estimated bus delay is obtained by comparing the estimated bus travel time with the bus travel time under free-flow conditions. Finally, estimated bus passenger time savings would be obtained if an exclusive bus lane had been implemented. An estimation of the passenger's route in each vehicle trip is considered to avoid average value simplifications in this calculation. A case study is conducted in A Coruña, Spain, to prove the methodology's applicability. The results showed that 18.7% of the analyzed bus trips underwent a delay exceeding 3 min in a 2,448 m long corridor, and more than 33,000 h per year could have been saved with an exclusive bus lane. Understanding the impact of different factors on transit and the benefits of a priority bus system on passengers can help city councils and transit agencies to know which investments to prioritize given their limited budget.

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION: Many rehabilitation services in the face of the COVID-19 health emergency have had to adapt face-to-face interventions with remote care through teleprehabilitation. We aim to describe the implementation of a teleprehabilitation program during the COVID-19 pandemic for patients who are candidates for elective cancer surgery in a low-income Chilean public hospital. Secondarily, describe the perspectives and satisfaction of patients with the program. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Correspond to a descriptive and retrospective pre-habilitation telemedicine intervention study. Implementation was measured in terms of, recruitment rate, retention, dropouts, and occurrence of adverse events. User perspectives and satisfaction were evaluated through a survey composed of nine items on a Likert scale with five response options. Descriptive analyses were considered with mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, as well as absolute and relative frequency. For patients' perspectives on the program, a qualitative analysis was considered to describe them. The most relevant domains were identified in a text box to illustrate the results. RESULTS: One hundred fifty-five patients were referred to the teleprehabilitation program, with 99.3% recruitment, a retention rate of 46.7%, and no adverse events reported. In relation to user satisfaction, in general, patients showed good satisfaction with the teleprehabilitation program except items related to "access to the teleprehabilitation program connection" and "number of sessions." Thirty-three patients reported their perspectives on the intervention, represented in 12 domains. CONCLUSION: It is possible to implement a teleprehabilitation program for oncosurgical patients in the context of preoperative care during the COVID-19 pandemic, with good user satisfaction. Likewise, this study provides guidance for other health institutions that wish to implement a teleprehabilitation program.

ABSTRACT

The reason for researching the satisfaction of the student population with telecommunications services in the Republic of Croatia is related to the time of the COVID-19 pandemic and online classes, where numerous problems have been shown in the functioning of transmission and data exchange technology over the Internet. 164 students studying in the Republic of Croatia participated in the research. Three research goals were set, which are presented through research goals and hypotheses. For the hypothesis H1, a statistically significant correlation between the customer satisfaction variable with the quality of services of the current telecommunications operator and the satisfaction with the speed of the internet of the current teleoperator was identified (rho = 729, p < 05). The H2 hypothesis identified a statistically significant connection between the customer satisfaction variable with the quality of services of the current telecommunications operator and the satisfaction with the price of the service of the current telecommunications operator (rho =, 685, p <, 05). When processing the hypothesis H3, a statistically significant correlation between the customer satisfaction variable with the quality of services of the current telecommunications operator was identified) and the work of customer service. (. =, 677, p <, 05). The regression analysis (Forward method) included 10 predictor variables. Four predictor variables have identified statistically significant predictive capacity. Other variables do not have a statistically significant contribution and models in which they are included are not considered further. With four predictor variables, 71.3% of the variance of the criteria is explained (dependent variable: satisfied/on the quality of service of the current operator). Variables that have a statistically significant predictive value are as follows: Satisfaction with the quality of service of the current operator). The variables that have a statistically significant predictive value are the following: Satisfaction with the Internet speed of the current operator (beta=0.311, t=7.081, p<.5), Satisfaction with the price of the current operator's service beta=0.232, t=5.197, p<.5), Satisfaction with customer service of the current operator (beta=0.210, t=4.368, p<.5), I believe that my consumer rights are respected by the telecommunication operators beta=0.108, t=2.386, p<.5). These findings are applicable to companies whose activities are related to the telecommunications industry, since user satisfaction is the most frequently investigated variable in all numerous research so far. Recommendations for future research include the need to repeat the survey in order to test previous predictor variables and identify new variables, if any. The variable "I believe that my consumer rights are respected by telecommunications operators" has so far not been identified by regression analysis in any previous survey. Many researches have been conducted from the beginning of 2000 to 2010, and after that their number is decreasing. Since we are in the digital age and the importance of IoT is growing, and experience with the quality and strength of signals, and hence the quality of services are different, the importance of carrying out these investigations is increasing.

ABSTRACT

The low readiness of university students to implement e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic is a worrying issue. Lack of motivation and satisfaction in learning coupled with low technological skills are widely revealed as contributing factors. This study examines the role of technological skills, equipment capabilities, user satisfaction, and motivation on e-learning readiness. Furthermore, the study also examines the significance of the mediating role of motivation. The study adopted an ex-post-facto design involving 1052 students as participants. Data is collected from a questionnaire form integrated into the university's e-monev system. SEM-PLS is a data analysis tool with a confidence interval of 97.5%. After being analysed, technology skills, equipment capabilities, user satisfaction, and motivation are proven to play a role in e-learning readiness. Likewise, motivation also succeeded in proving its mediating role in this study. The study's results further clarify that efforts to improve e-learning readiness require digital technology capabilities, equipment capabilities, user satisfaction, and motivation, so vocational education must strengthen these aspects.

ABSTRACT

This paper explored the temporary facilities created during the pandemic for use as COVID-19 test centers at Zaventem Airport, the main airport for the city of Brussels, Belgium. The possibilities of modular construction technology and the impact of the building envelope on users' perception of indoor space comfort and privacy were closely observed. The three main problem statements were as follows: (1) the COVID-19 crisis indirectly influenced the creation of temporary modular buildings with glass envelopes;(2) the modular envelope is adaptable to the existing context;and (3) the envelope meets the needs of the users. This study's objectives were to identify the critical factors for users' well-being in temporary modular buildings, and to conduct factor comparisons among different users and between different building-enclosure systems. The study data were collected through a subjective assessment using a SWOT analysis and a survey questionnaire. The glass facade affected the users' acceptance levels of comfort and privacy. The main results show that the users were satisfied with the level of comfort and dissatisfied with the level of privacy. This information can be used to identify areas for improvement and provide useful feedback to designers and engineers about specific design features and operating strategies for temporary modular emergency healthcare buildings.

ABSTRACT

Background: Even though the government has set several admirable targets for raising the standard of healthcare, as highlighted by communities and media reports, public health institutions' services continue to fall short of patients' expectations and basic standards of care. For this reason, the general public has lost faith in the healthcare system. The public healthcare system in South Africa is completely dysfunctional and urgently needs to be transformed to serve the majority of those who use public hospitals. Objectives: The study aimed to improve healthcare for the majority of South Africans by investigating the critical success factors (CSFs) that influence the adoption of smart card technology (SCT) in South African public hospitals. Methods: A thorough review of peer-reviewed literature was conducted to determine potential barriers to adopting SCT. Furthermore, a hybrid model that combines the Health Unified Technology of Acceptance Theory (HUTAUT) model, DeLone and McLean IS success model (D&M) and the diffusion of innovation (DOI) theory will be developed, validated and tested to identify the CSFs adoption of SCT in public hospitals in South Africa. Results: The validated research model has been developed to be adopted by nurses at public hospitals. Conclusion: This research will contribute to the development of a new framework that identifies the CSFs for SCT adoption in South African public hospitals. Contribution: The study's results will make a special contribution to the body of knowledge in the fields of health informatics, particularly e-health.

ABSTRACT

The previous decade witnessed the dynamic progress that information systems (ISs) brought about in business performances. In this regard, an effective and efficient organization reflects heightened performance through the use of financial systems like the Accounting Information System (AIS) as the system automates the processes and improves efficiencies. In the current times, AIS has been the reason behind the optimum performance of businesses, with past studies evidencing its successful role dependent on critical success factors. Hence, the primary aim of this study is to evaluate AIS through the use of De Lone and Mc Lean's information sys-tem model (DM ISM) among Sudanese banks. The system focuses on critical factors including information quality, system quality, service quality, system usage and user satisfaction and their effects on the performance of banks in Sudan. Accordingly, this study made use of self-administered survey questionnaire to collect data from 103 AIS user, after which PLS-SEM was employed for data validation. The findings supported the significant effects of system and information quality on system usage but not services quality. Also, AIS use was found to significantly affect the performance of business. The study contributed to literature concerning IS in light of AIS benefits determinants, and it validated the proposed model among firms in Sudan. In effect, the study has both theoretical and practical significance, and it provided limitations, implications and future studies recommendations.

ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 virus with a very fast spread requires governments in every country to act quickly to prevent the spread of the coronavirus so that it does not spread quickly. The method that is mostly used is the contact tracing application, Indonesia applies this method by creating the PeduliLindungi mobile application which can track the position of people visiting a place by scanning a QR code. To ensure the successful implementation of the application, a user satisfaction evaluation is needed. This research was conducted by conducting a questionnaire survey to users of the PeduliLindungi application to determine the level of user satisfaction, the survey data was then processed using SmartPLS. The results of this study showed that all variables are positive. Two of them, usability and reliability have a significant effect on user satisfaction. It can be concluded that the user is satisfied with the PeduliLindungi application because the application has good usability and reliability. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

This The COVID-19 and its safety precautionary protocols triggered an instantaneous transition to online learning in the higher education institutions (HEIs), to ensure the completion of academic calendars. However, the complexities associated with lingering digital divide in Sub-Saharan Africa and transition to virtual learning means learners from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds become more vulnerable and unlikely to benefit from the paradigm shift. Therefore, building a resilient education system through learning management systems (LMS) for remote learning, that is all-inclusive for students would be hampered by varied degrees of users' satisfaction. The objective of the study was to identify determinants of e-Learning user satisfaction for remote learning at a South African University of Technology. An online questionnaire was administered through a Microsoft form link. A sample of 40 participants were selected from the student population that have experienced blended and exclusive online learning. The data was analyzed to identify determinants of user satisfaction with LMS for learning within the context of study. An ethics clearance certificate was obtained from the relevant Faculty research ethics committee. Learners expressed positive experiences that LMS met their immediate academic needs. Challenges experienced during the learning process were not attributed to the LMS quality, but inadequate facilitating conditions and contextual peculiarities. The post-adoption success of online learning is critical towards building a resilient education system. The results from this study can help HEIs' management and LMS designers to make an informed decision on best practices for an inclusive virtual learning environment with peculiar contextual characteristics. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The outbreak of COVID-19 led to rapid development of the mobile healthcare services. Given that user satisfaction is of great significance in inducing marketing success in competition markets, this research explores and predicts user satisfaction with mobile healthcare services. Specifically, the current research aimed to design a machine learning model that predicts user satisfaction with healthcare services using big data from Google Play Store reviews and satisfaction ratings. By dealing with the sentimental features in online reviews with five classifiers, the authors find that logistic regression with term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) and XGBoost with bag of words (BoW) have superior performances in predicting user satisfaction for healthcare services. Based on these results, the authors conclude that such user-generated texts as online reviews can be used to predict user satisfaction, and logistic regression with TF-IDF and XGBoost with BoW can be prioritized for developing online review analysis platforms for healthcare service providers.

ABSTRACT

PurposeThe primary purpose of this research is to analyze the online user reviews, where real customer experiences can be observed, with text mining and machine learning approaches, which are seen as a gap in the related literature. This study aims to compare the latent themes uncovered by the topic modeling approach with studies focused on both mobile banking (m-banking) adaptation and service quality features, suggest new aspects and examine the effect of latent topics on customer satisfaction.Design/methodology/approachThis study analyzed 21,526 reviews posted by customers of private and state banks operating in Türkiye. An unsupervised machine learning method, Latent Dirichlet algorithm (LDA), was conducted to reveal topics, and the distribution of all reviews was visualized with the t-SNE algorithm. Random Forest, logistic regression, k-nearest neighbors (kNN) and Naive Bayes algorithms were utilized to predict user satisfaction through the given score.FindingsIn total, 11 topics were revealed by considering user reviews based on their experience. Among these topics, perceived usefulness and convenience and time-saving are much more important in the scoring given to m-banking apps. Furthermore, in more detail, seven topics have been identified related to technical and security problems related to m-banking apps.Originality/valueThis paper is a pioneer study regarding the method used and sample size reached in the m-banking literature. The findings also provide fresh insight into the post-Covid-19 era, both academically and practically, by providing new features for mobile bank adoption.

ABSTRACT

The information, skills and habits that users and students can gain with librarian intervention and partnership support and facilitate lifelong learning. The authors in the current issue described how librarians at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse assessed reference desk interactions based on library program student learning outcomes, rather than a traditional user satisfaction scale, and also illustrated how teaching could and should occur in reference desk interactions, going beyond basic transactions. Both academic and public libraries can support continued learning by providing high-quality information, providing training in various literacies and connecting users with community programs.
